Project Browser additional sorting category needed

Seems simple - but not something we do every day...  We have Legends, schedules, sheets, families, groups and Revit links - those folders in the project browser.  We want an additional sorting category/folder for "Placeholder Sheets".  Those sheets would still appear in our sheet list, but it helps to organize/un-clutter the primary sheet folder.  I am certain that we've done this before, but can't seem to remember how, nor can we find a specific "how to" out there to help...    Anyone have an idea?  Using Revit 2020.

Use sorting by parameter settings for the sheets to place them in subfolders ie.

Create a Project Parameter, assign it to Sheets and create a new Organization to sort your Sheets by the value of the Parameter.

Hi @Anonymous. In order to customize your project browser, follow the instructions in this link.

Best regards, Pavel Plotitsyn.

Thanks to all for the replies, and I appreciate it, but obviously I failed to be clear about what I want to accomplish.  In a project where we have various sheet sets (placeholders, presentation sets, etc.) I need to be able to organize sheets into separate folders in the project browser, without affecting their ability to appear in the master sheet list.  What I am struggling with is how to create those additional folders.

No, you create a folder "master sheet list", otherwise they get placed in folder "???". Otherwise you can't (as far as i know).

I'm still not sure if I understand what you're trying to do.  Do you mean something like this?

That is how it's suggested/done, however I believe OP wants the sheets that would then be in the master folder to be under sheets as without sorting.

ie.
Sheets (Drawing series ie.)
     +A... [sheet name]
     +A... [sheet name2]
     +0000 [ folder 1 ]
     +1000 [ folder 2 ]

This is not possible. You would have:

Sheets (Drawing series ie.)
     -Master folder [ folder 0]

          +A... [sheet name]
          +A... [sheet name2]
     +0000 [ folder 1 ]
     +1000 [ folder 2 ]

well, not really...  What I want to be able to do is add primary folders to the project browser.  Yes, I could just change the sorting organization as noted in your example, but what I would prefer to do is add folders - it seems like a more logical way to separate groups of sheets as opposed to having them all numerically sorted.  browser sample.jpg

No, you add a project parameter for sheets and then add a browser organisation for sheets.

yes, thank you, I know how to change the organization scheme...  that's the compromise I have had to accept.  It seems like Autodesk could make it possible to add folders but evidently it currently is not.

Ok, but otherwise it's not possible. 😉
