problems with drawing order

I am working on a floor layout and cannot figure out how to move text in front of other details.

Cut and paste aligned in place the text.

Are you using model text? Model will always hide behind detail/annotation objects. So you may want to use Annotate>text.

I have text both in front and in back and i don't know how to control it.

Select the text and look at the ribbon >>> look for the scissor tool that is cut...after u cut, there is a paste tool with a drop down menu...select paste aligned same place or current view

that didn't work, the furniture is still in front of the text

Try to select the text and on the ribbon choose Pick New Host
You seem to be using model text and not annotations

Under annotation tab there is another form of text...try that one out too
