Problem: Stair Tread Number Different on Plan VS Section

My Revit Build is Revit 2020 - 20.2.12.1

Please help! I have this issue on Revit where if I change the tread count on the PLAN view to start from 1, the SECTION view starts from -66. And then if I change the SECTION view to start from 1, the PLAN view automatically changes to start from -66.

I need both PLAN and SECTION to start from 1. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am guessing that you building these stairs from the ground level to level 3.

Since stairs are not cutable, you will see the whole stairs in your floor plan.

How to solve this?

Method 1:

When you use the Tread Number, Tab a few times before you place it.

Method 2:

Model the stairs separately.

Thanks so much! Now, I understand why it is the way it is.
