Good day

I have a large file done n skecthup. The architect sent it to me. I need to place the LED lighting and render the model. However i cannot seem to import the model and create a 3D model in the render.

I cannot change the origin and move to 0,0,0 on they Axis and i cannot get all the textures imported either. I need to create a family or something. Please help me with this.

It Is a big file and i dont know how to create a download link so please let me know where i can mail it to via Wetransfer if possible

So you cannot Import the SKP into Revit at all?  If so, maybe it's not a compatible version.  Do you have AutoCAD? If you do, you can Import Sketch into AutoCAD via the free "ImportSKP" Add-in, then save that DWG and Import that DWG into Revit.

Could you give us details of your setup and workflow?

1. What version of Revit are you using?

2. Are you linking a SKP file (INSERT | LINK CAD | SKP) or using the Autodesk App for importing SKP files?

Revit Help - Linked SKP

App Store - Import SKP

3. What is the file size of the SKP

4. Do you have Sketchup? If yes what version?

5. Do you have Autodesk FormIt Pro?

https://formit.autodesk.com/blog/post/using-formit-to-get-sketchup-data-into-revit

6. Are you trying to import to Revit then export to render in 3ds Max?

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-modeling/cannot-import-and-model-skp-file-even-saved-in-2015/m-p/9757708

Depending on your available tools, different solutions are possible.

I would suggest to divide the SKP into multiple smaller files and import them successively rather than all at once.
