Plans going to wrong category

When I create a plan view from levels added to an elevation, it goes to the wrong category which makes searching for them in the browser a challenge. I know it's an easy fix - we just have to switch over to the correct template - but it's annoying all the same. I hope that someone can solve this!

You can change the template while creating a new view.

True. That's the one extra step we want to avoid.

As ToanDN pointed out, if you change your Template (the first time) and choose the Category you want it will retain that setting. Each new Plan View you create will be placed in the Category you picked.

Hope this helps and thanks for posting.

If you want your template file to already have the correct setting, open the template file, change the setting, then re-save it as a template again.
