Pipes will not stay parallel when nudging up or down

I never noticed this in previously version of Revit and also not in Revit 2023 on my previous laptop but I'm and running into this a lot with Revit 2023 on my new laptop. Revit 2021 and Revit 2022 on the same laptop don't show the same problem.

This looks that it is dependent on my zoom level.

If I am zoomed out I can nudge the conduit up or down and it remains parallel but if I am zoomed up then u nudge the conduit with the up/keys it only moves one end of the conduit and is no longer parallel.

Can this be a setting? If yes, what to change and where?

Has anyone seen this or know how to fix it?

Or can I migrate the settings from my Revit 2022 to Revit 2023?

I think this is a known bug and appears to have been updated in latest Revit 2023 & 2024 product updates

Dear @jay_colcombe ,

All my software was/is up-to-date, and this issue is still going on.

So I don't think it is solved by Autodesk.

I noticed that there is a difference in the type of piping.

The problem does occur with our steel pipes, while it does not happen with our PVC-U pipes.

See screenshot in the attachment.

What could cause this difference?2024-01-09 08_15_29-Autodesk Revit 2023 Pipe Nudging.png

In our piping system we did found a solution:

There is a property called “Allow Slope Adjustments” that governs whether the connector will allow the pipe that is generated from it to adapt to the slope tolerance. Make sure to switch this off.

This setting is visible if the "System Classification" is set to "Global"

To access these settings you must select the Connector Elements:
