Family types are not loading in the project

Hi everyone,

I have made a family of a door. The hinges, handles and frame needs to be available in a few material options. To solve this, i made a couple family types in this door family. The parameters and family types work fine within the family itself.

However, when i load this family in to my project, the different family types are not working. They are visible in the menu (in edit type) but when i choose a family type, it stays the same.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Damian

Post your file so we can diagnose the problem without a bunch of follow-up questions and guesswork.

Hi @barthbradley, thanks for your response.

Attached you will find the family of the door. There are multiple family types named with some metals.

When I load it in to a project it stays the same.

Hopefully you could fix this.

Thanks,

Damian

Hi,

Set your material parameters to Type instead of Instance:
