Phasing ==> for the entire project

Hello all,

Currently I am working on an 3D model of a standard house which we build for several of our customers.

This house has an option for an extension on the 2nd floor (see attached images).

I have designed the timber framing walls and have made 2 phases of the building.

1. basis

2. extension

The problem I am having now.... is that I have to set the correct phase in all of my floorplans, schedules etcetera to get a 100% correct output of my production drawings.

What I would like is a way to set the phasing of the whole project in just 1 click so that everything will be set to this phase.  I have not yet been able to find such setting (or I'm stupid...... ).

Anyone has the answer to this?

Not clear what you mean by "whole project".  You set the Phasing of Views - not the Project.  Setting the View Phase is painless. Additionally, you can use View Templates to manage.

Are you saying you want to merge the two phases into one?  You can do it via the Phase dialog.

If you just want to set every view and schedule to show and calculate the latest and greatest then set them to the last phase and show complete.

Your first statement is your answer.

"an option"

Design Options are built for this very purpose.

Create an option set with two options within it, Base Model and Expanded Model.

Move all of the second floor components into the Expanded Model Option.

Set all views and schedules to be "Automatic" for the design option.

If you want to document the Base Model then you set that option as the "Primary".

If you want to produce documents for the Expanded Model then you set that option as the "Primary".

All views set as automatic will change to show the "Primary" Option.

If you want to document both Options create duplicate views (plans, sections, elevations, schedules, etc) and set each set of views to show only a specific Option.

Phasing is for building and/or construction phasing:

Build phase 1.

At a later time build phase 2 (at which time phase 1 is now "existing" and Phase 2 construction is "New").
