The north elevation of my model is showing the same as the south elevation. Please help.
post some screenshot to see what is your issue?
Most likely the elevation markers are not located properly in relation to the building, or that their cut plane (the blue line that appears when you click on the tip of the triangle for each elevation marker) is not where it should be.
Another possibility is that one of these views is simply a duplicate of the other, with a different name, using, of course, the same elevation marker.

What if you simply delete the duplicated view and create a new elevation?
I deleted the north and south elevations and put in new one and yet the problem remains
I have made the model small purging out unnecessary elements.
That file seems to be corrupt, and that might be causing the problem since you already tried the ideas for solution that we mentioned here but that didn't work.
When I tried to open the file, Revit said: "Improper argument" (or similar).
If the model is not too advanced now, maybe you can copy-paste the elements into a new project that has levels at the same elevation, and continue your work in that new model.
