Nested generic annotation family in Title Block causing offset in pdf

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering an issue when exporting sheets to PDF in Revit. The problem is that the PDF is slightly larger than the actual sheet size. After investigating, I found that it seems to be caused by the nested generic annotation family.

I've already tried creating a completely new family, but the issue still persists. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

No issues here on my end. Maybe the issue is with your PDF Printer.

Hi @barthbradley

Thanks for your response.

I’m using the native PDF export in Revit 2024, so I don’t believe the issue is related to my PDF printer. The problem is actually visible within Revit itself. When I use "Zoom to Fit," the distance to the left and right borders is noticeably uneven.

Thanks again for your help!

I don't see any problem , use the zoom 100% :

Hi @azad.Nanva

The A4 Size is just an example. I need to export multiple sheet sizes at once. Thats why I am exporting with "Use sheet size" and not printing with a selected size. Fit to page or 100% Zoom doesn`t make a difference in this case.

Now I see what is your problem, this come from your generic annotation family :

I know. Thats what I said in my initial post:

After investigating, I found that it seems to be caused by the nested generic annotation family.

But how do I fix this? I need my nested family to sit in the bottom right corner of the title block. I tried to move the label in the family, change its alignement, font size/type, ...

make invisible lines in the side of GenericAnnotation family ,I show you:

(view in My Videos)

my rectangle for see the all in the end was small but now your family work well. we have another solution with shared variable as width and height.this is fastest and simple way.

Thank you @azad.Nanva

I am not sure why, but the invisible lines actually work.

I am not sure too.but I think that is scale problem for G.A. family. by use the line you define the border and Revit corrects the mistake to recognizes the border of the family.
