Hello All,

I am struggling to understand how to create the wall/roof condition below. The main roof construction stops. But the roof tiles and battens go over the top of the wall. Please help. Thanks

1. If you model the roof in Revit like how it is constructed, with structural members below and roof layers on top, then you can have the structure stops before the walls, but the roof layers overhang a little.

2. If you model the roof with structure and roofing in the same assembly, then you can add a Roof Fascia to present the overhang.

added to what @ToanDN suggested I can think of 4 other methods to model a roof before asking about the level of detail which you are supposed to deliver.

how about if u share with us how you have started and where did u get stuck, maybe then one could guide you from there on? I think this way you would understand better how to fix a model through identifying the mistakes  rather than a method being dictated.

Thanks for your input.

Firstly I am using REVIT LT.

I have done the usual roof by plan with no overhang, then attached to base of wall. Sorry proper newbie! Thanks
