Hi,
We're starting to work with Solibri in conjunction with Revit to start validating our models and look at things like clash detection, code compliance etc.
However no sooner have we got out of the blocks than we've hit an issue. When the IFC's that are produced from Revit are imported into Solibri they lose all site level data so essentially the Revit origin (Project base point startup location) becomes the defacto level - not the actual project base point level.
At first I though this was maybe a Solibri issue but I'm now lead to believe this is an issue with the manner in which Revit creates the IFC.
For the export I'm using the Alternate UI version 15.7.0.0.
Is anyone else using Solibri and if so are you seeing the same issue?
Cheers
K.

Hi Keith
Take a look at these :

Thanks Rafal,
As it happens I've found the solution. The issue arises from changes to the structure of IFC 2x3 when it changed to Coordination View 2. I'll be honest I don't really understand exactly what the issue is but it seems to be to do with the data being written within an IFCCARTESIANPOINT parameter.
Anyway the 'fix' is simple - check the box highlighted below. The only issue with this is that the IFC file created would fail certification but it does at least allow the models to be checked correctly in Solibri.
One of the solutions you've linked to is a little alarming as it's suggesting changing the PBP while clipped which will fundamentally change the level of your building - now granted, this will fix the problem in Solibri but if not undone will screw up all your site levels. If someone did that on e project here they would get hauled over the coals!! ![]()
