Modelling a steel ornament in Revit

Hello, I'd like to model this in REVIT and have no idea where to start. I've gotten as far as opening up a generic family and playing around with sweeps. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hard to tell much about the geometry from your screenshot, but you might start off by Googling for Finial or Spire Revit Families and see if you can find a free one on-line that you can download and reverse-engineer.
