Model in place void

I created a model in place void in the "New Construction" phase for a knock through but when I switch to "existing" phase the void is also showing. Any ideas?

Check your Phase Filters:

It's the drawback of using model in place. Create a family if you want it to phase properly.

But surly if its created in the new construction phase it shouldn't show in the existing phase?

How else should you phase a knock through?
