Am considering the latest Microsoft Surface Book 2, 15" model with 16GB ram and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 discrete GPU w/6GB GDDR5 graphics memory to replace current laptop and will need to be suitable for running both Autocad and Revit. Anyone have experience with the Surface Book 2 running Revit ? Have been in touch with Microsoft and they advise it will be more than capable.

Thanks, however from what have read the majority of the threads relate to Microsoft Surface Book. Am looking to see if there is experience with the Microsoft Surface Book 2 in particular which was launched at the tail end of last year.

I am also hopeful to find a good answer on this and I am having no luck. I do see that the graphics card in the 2 is not listed as the recommended graphics card. The rep at the store says several AEC firms use the 2 with no issue....
The GTX 1060 seems to be used for HW-accelerationm but on a friends SB2, the performance is mediocre, huge issues with curser lag in particular and multitasking fluidity. Not sure what Audodesk has done for Surface Book 2 users.
