Material of nested family

I create a table with a nested chair family. The chair has material parametric. I want to control its material from my project. How to do it please.

Assign a Material Parameter to the Geometry in the Family and then you can assign a Project Material to that Parameter inside the Project.

2. (assign a Project Material to that Parameter inside the Project) I don't know how to do it. Can you show me how please?

Select the family and find its Material Parameter in its Properties. Change it.

The Chair Family already has a Shared Parameter for material

In the project, I can find only the material properties for the table I created. But no material properties for the chair.

Is the nested family a Shared Family?  If it is, then tab-select on the Family is the Project to select and change the Material Parameter value of the Chair. Alternatively, you can Associate the Nested Chair Material Parameter to a Material Parameter in the Host Family.  Now that Host Parameter will drive the Material Parameter of the Nested Family inside the Host Family/Project.

Post the Family. I'll fix 'er up for you.

Set the chair family to shared.

Material 1 is Family parameter if I change it to Shared, the OK button will not be available. Both Material main and secondary are Shared parameters. In the end, I need step by step or illustrations or a tutorial link on how to do it, please. Because this is the best way for me to understand it.

Go into Type Properties of "Z_Parametric_Aquarium_Table" Family" in attached Project and see the 3 Material Parameters for Chair Seat, Back and Legs. Assign whatever Project Material you  like to them.
