Material not showing in edit-in place.

Hi Community,

How to we make Edit-in-place components to show materials assigned to them and not the fill pattern but the cut pattern in sections?

In the section I found that my cut pattern isn't showing until click on the edit-in-place button as shown in the diagrams.

The result I am looking for it like this? Anyone got any ideas why is that?

I tried fiddling with the VG but nothing seems to work, the profile is a edit-in-place mass then converted to a wall family category.

Edit the In-Place Wall and remove the Filled Region.

Instead of a Filled Region, assign a Project Material to the geometry.  Sounds like it may already be assigned a Material though.

@barthbradley Sorry for the late reply, this is not a filled region, it is just simply a mass used and applied with a material with cut pattern, the one above is the same method.

The only way I was able to replicate this is when I had an override on the section pattern. In your case it might be changed to solid or check off in visible. If you see No "Override..." then you have something in place there.

I just didn't know why revit doesn't detect my massing despite i put it in material, the material only shows when i click edit-in-place, @barthbradley to answer the filled region, well as you can see it is a mass with material and not filled region, tried overwrite graphics in view, but that didnt work either

Trying removing the material, hitting apply/ok, then reapplying it. Sometime Revit has hiccups.

Why don't you put us all out of our misery and just post your file?  Unless, of course, you are enjoying the guessing game.

I haven't got time to identify the issue with the extrusion material cut pattern but you can use a sweep instead.  Or just model them as system roof then add a sweep void to chamfer the edge.  That guarantees always work.

I don't know what's going on, but override graphics in view works.
