Linking CAD file causes model elements to become wireframe/transparent

I am working on a large landscaping plan. (Cue comments that Revit isn't really the best tool for landscape work...)

In our plan views, we want to include the survey of the existing landscape and site furnishings, which has been prepared by the surveyor in AutoCAD. I inserted the survey as a link, moved it to the correct coordinates, and pinned it in place. Then I went to my prepared sheets, and discovered that the CAD topography contour lines cause elements with which they intersect to become wireframe instead of the Shaded or Consistent Colour that they were prior to inserting the CAD file.

I've searched around for a solution but nothing seems to present itself. The elements show back up as shaded if I hide the survey file, but obviously that doesn't help.

The file is too large to upload, but I've attached some screen grabs of the affected areas. The stair units are meant to be grey (concrete) but most show up wireframe. Similar issue at bottom left with the floor (dark grey background with blue crosshatch). The stair units are meant to be grey (concrete) but most show up wireframe. My guess would be that the View Range settings are the culprit.

If it is not a 3D CAD then you can link it in with Current View only box checked.  Or link it in an in place Site family.

Kind of hard to troubleshoot without seeing the file.  All we can do is ask a bunch of follow-up questions and make educated guesses along the way.

You could ZIP the file if it's too large.

....eTransmit and include DWG.

@ToanDN unfortunately the survey is a 3D file.

@barthbradley I attempted to use eTransmit and ZIP, but didn't really help compress. Here's a link to download it from a filesharing site (got just under 7 days to download). I included the DWG (it's called 5117_2023-02-14_greyed.dwg):
