Linked models and levels

I have inhereted a model from an old Co worker... 

I have a site model which has been made using a Datum level (project level 0) and the topo has been offset from that by 50 meters (datum taken as sea level)

I also have a building model linked in and it's automatically dropping at the datum level. 

What is the best way to go about having the building model drop at the correct level (50m above datum) and vice versa when I link the site to the building model? 

Is it as simple as opening an elevation and dragging it up?

Move the linked building "up" to the correct ground floor elevation. Use Publish Coordinates and select the building link. That matches the site's Shared Coordinate System with the Building's.

Now you can link the site model to the Building model using By Shared Coordinates for positioning.
