Linear dimension style's pattern doesn't change

Hi,

I try to make the vertical to the object lines looking like small dots but I cannot find any solution. I have tried all (I think) options in the edit type parameter.

Hello! I already made a duplicate beforehand, and still nothing seems to do the trick. Perhaps I didn't formulate my question right, but my intention wasn't to change/add arrowheads, but rather the lines that come down from the distance to the chosen object, AKA the "side" lines. My goal is to make a dimstyle close enough to the one I use in AutoCAD: (photo for reference)

 Thank you nonetheless.

Hello! Thank you for your response, but my main question remains: is it possible to change the "side" lines, rather than the centerline. Either way if there's a "solution" that requires you to use two centerline distances, wouldn't that just end up being a nuisance...? ( Taking more time and making the file unnecessarily bigger? )

Though I highly appreciate your response, I'm not sure the thread you provided has been helpful.

Thank you!

Sorry, that's not possible with a dimension style in Revit.

then what would you propose to achieve this result?

I wouldn't. Any solution that I can think of would require additional elements and work like adding lines and adjusting dimensions.

I would make due with what is available.

Omit the Dimension Extension Lines altogether and pull dimension between dotted lines (i.e. Ref. Planes, Ref. Lines, Grid Lines, etc.).
