Is a laptop with 128 ssd with 1 tb hhd enough over a 250 ssd nvme with 1 tb hhd ??
And shall the nvme ssd be my pick over the normal ssd ??

Yes ... but the specs are limited to my price point

The helios has the core i7 7700
The 15 i7 7600
And both gtx 1060 ... one with 250 ssd nvme ( the helios ) and the other with a 128 ssd * both coupled with a 1tb hdd *

To sum it up"

- Helios: better SSD, lighter, worse screen, $600 cheaper

- Predator: worse SSD, heavier, better screen, $600 more expensive

If other things equal then go with the Helios.  You can stick several $100 bills to the edge of the screen and you will feel it is a better one.

Now of course, having a dedicated box to render 24/7 and a lightweight laptop to lug around is a valid idea.  Remember that when you start a rendering, you cannot use the computer for nearly anything else no matter how powerful it is.

I agree. Render is a very demanding task.

But you can limit the resources used by any program in Windows 10, for example you can limit the number of cores that will be used by 3d Max, in order to keep enough power for other apps.

The way to do this is:

1- Open your apps
2- Open task manager
3- Open "details" tab in task manager
4- locate the app you want to limit the resources
5- Right button to invoke the contextual menu,
6- Choose "set affinity"
7- Select the cores that you want to be used by the app.
