I have these individual extruded stair threads and I want to join them but I can't manage to join the individual thread. I try to join them before clicking" Finish Model" but I'm only able to select one solid geometry but I'm not available to select the second object to join them as a single block. I provided the files so you can check them. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong for future reference.

Individual stair won't allow you to join. You have to create as one piece within in-place family.

Why don't you create it as a monolithic stair?  Set the monolithic depth the the same height as the landing then you will have a solid stair as you show.
