Issues inserting roof light into roof type

I am having issues inserting a standard roof light onto a flat roof. The roof is a standard build up and total thickness is 278mm. 

I have tested the roof light on a default roof with no detailing at 250mm thickness and this seems to work.

However I need the roof light within the initial 278mm roof. 

Any suggestions?

When I place the roof light on the roof it comes up with a warning message stating 'Can't make type "Windows_Roof_Light : 1360x1210mm".'

I figured out that it was the thickness of my roof that the roof light didn't like. 

I have changed the roof light family and it now works.
