Installation of Revit 2017 Content Libraries

I have read solutions for the installation of 2015 and 2016 Revit Content libraries which apparently also apply to 2017 but since the first step is to find 'Autodesk Revit Content Libraries 2017' in your Control Panel's 'Programs and Features' and it does not exist I would ask how do you actually install the Revit 2017 Content?

See snipit below of my 'Programs and Features':

Revit Content 00.JPG

Revit 2017 is installed, as can be seen, but no Content Library!

Any ideas

How about you post a link where people can download a default library , is that a something hard to do for Autodesk Monopoly corporation.

Speaking of since you charge 5K for this application with bunch of glitches which should be flawless for that price if you asked me. Can you and your Gearheads in Autodesk make conduit and cable tray more custom so you can asign material as well as jepg labels on duct and piping system it will help a lot BIM industry especially semiconductor facility's such as Globalfundries to have accurate 3D model of existing condition of the FAB 8 .

Thanks Autodesk for trying hopefully you can get it done with the next service pack , I'm looking forward to your contribution to architect and engineering socity it will make life eaiser on our end when we do design utilizing your application Such as Revit and Navisworks , speaking of your Navisworks shrinking view crop box could work like in Revit instead us playing with move and scale commend waist of time when I could just select the grips arrow heads and shrink the object in 3D space to the portion that i want to show .

There is very simple solution to that , waiting on Autodesk get their act together it takes for ever .

1. Uninstall your Revit.

2. Delete All of the  Autodesk folders from :

a.) C:\Program File\Autodesk

b.) C:\Program File86\Autodesk

c.) C:\Program Data

d.)C:\Users\yourname\AppData Folder

3. Typr Run.exe Regedit (as admin) find all of the Autodesk folders ,reg key's within that Microsoft mess.

4. Final set install yourself fresh copy of Autodesk Revit

5. Be happy again that you can do finly do some design , instead of fixing broke ass application that cost over 5k and hardly work , Its frouad and scam charge type of price all of the engineering firm's for broke ass application that a design like ****.

How come Solidworks , Cinema 4D , Zbrush, Modo 10.2, Houdini, ArchiCAD and some other application that are way much cheaper never get stuck on  " Not responding " freezing issue at least they have their act together , autodesk its monopoly all they care about get money less of improving their 1990's 3ds Max that hardly change other than additional tools their GUI is garbage compare to Modo that has way smoother transition and flexibility , but who cares right according to autodesk those corporation going to buy Lic anyway , cause by end of the day we all got get the job done.

So it is what it is mate

Come see us on GFXpeers we got a lot good stuff for you sponsored by X-Force

Dear Tony Michniewicz

Could you attach the files (masterxml) for Revit 2018?

You must been doing something wrong ,it takes me uninstalling old Revit and cleaning folder as well as  registry folders with about 25 min max .

After that i run new version of Revit and everything works just fine .

Try one more time use Revo Uninstaller or Iobit Uninstaller

I hope this works for you , unless your pc is in rally bad shape .

Sincerely

kmiros

Do we have a support download section where we can just download the content family files? I just want to load past Revit families into Revit 217. It seems that Autodesk is going corporate and not remaining helpful. Might anyone else on here have the Family Folders for previous versions of Revit? Going as far back as 2012? Or maybe tell me where to go for the old files from www.seek.autodest.com before it changed to a brand name sales location? Please let me know.

I still cannot get the Revit 2017 Content Libraries to work on my computer.  My product is not working as it should.  My software is incomplete.  I have been led to believe that by spending X-amount of dollars, this software will work but it does not work as advertised.

I've updated/checked for updates/installed/uninstalled/reinstalled/downloaded/stood on my head and it still doesn't work.

How many more days do I need to sift through these forums?  Has anyone actually had any luck with this?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

1. Install Revit 2017

2. Download 'RVT 2017' by search or from the link https://comgraph.autodesk360.com/g/shares/

3. Copy  or Replace ' C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\rvt 2017'   folder

I'm having this same problem but in 2018.  I've tried the different help files but they are all setup for 2017.  Any help would be great.

Hard to see what you are doing wrong. The magic portal to see a history of what you've done is broken. Most people can download to appropriate content from the links above.
