Insert view from file schedule or from view literally, not just the parameters from the schedule

We are trying to copy and paste the schedule from files that are linked into a revit model, the goal is to make them look exactly  and have the exact same data, but when we insert view from file they completely change to either adding every single other link into the schedule, or excluding every single link, and picking up only the items that are in the file where all the models are linked into. It is not translating them one to one. The insert view from file only copies parameters from the place it was acquired, rather than the information from the link, and if you include the linked files it includes every single other link.

@andrew8QEC8 What you are experiencing is correct.  Schedules read modeled elements that are within your model, unless you check the option 'include elements from links'.  In any schedule that you create, if there is a limited type or you want to only show a certain set of information out of the list, then you need to create a filtering mechanism.  For example, using doors, if you wanted to only show the doors on the first floor of a 5 story building; then you would need to include the level within the schedule and set the filter for level = first floor. 

In your case, you will need to find some data that is unique for the doors from the link you are wanting to schedule from and filter the schedule based on that data.  If you are using at least Revit 2021, you have the ability to include the Revit Link File Name and Revit Link Name within your schedule (Figure 1).

Once the Link information is included in the schedule, then you can filter by it (Figure 2).

If you are working with Revit 2023, you get even more Revit Link parameters to work with (Figure 3).

Open the Filter Tab and toggle the "Filter by Sheet" state.

It's worth noting that the 'Filter by Sheet' is only a feature of Revit 2023.

Well then. I guess it won't apply if the OP is on a later version.  It does fit some of the facts presented though (e.g. Sheet Schedule doesn't match with what is shown in Schedule).
