IFC wrong rotation

Dear Colleagues,

As i know - the problem is exists in all versions.

When Revit links IFC it make a wrong rotation of it (rotate according project north, not according true norht).

By my opinion it is application misstake.

This happens even with Revitexported  IFC.

I created small test to illustrate it (files are attached):

2 Revit files with shared coordinates and different Angle to True North (wall arrow is orient to True North) and they linkin properly to each other:

Also i exported them in to IFC (with Project Orign - Current shared coordinates):

Stranges begins when we linking IFC to Revit (blue - is IFC):

REVIT+IFC.png

I think this is very critical solution for coordination.

Also in NavisWorks this IFC are linking incorrect if IFC reading set to "Revit IFC".

If this tik will be uncheck - all is correct.

I am seeing the same behaviour in Revit 2020. I would love to say what version of the IFC exporter I am using but that information has been removed ...

Could we have a response from Autodesk or a few more people confirming this situation?

hopefully autodesk will fix this problem in a new update for all revit versions.

This issue is still present with Revit/Navisworks 2022. In Navisworks the "Revit IFC" tickbox has been replaced by a "Conversion Method" dropdown though. Changing this value from "modern" to "legacy" is the same as unticking the former checkbox, and I can confirm that fixes the rotation in Navisworks.
