How to Model Streets without using a Floor

Hello to you all,

we got a new Project where we have to Model an existing Railroad Cross, Bridges and so on.

We already did this for an other client with Revit2018 and used Floors for the Streets. For our new Client, we cant use the integrated RevitFamilies, cause they got characteristics like degree of absorption etc. whos not needed.

 

The Question is:

Is it possible to generate a whole new Family with just the Characteristics we need but with the same easy handles a Floor has.  So i can just draw the outline of the a part of a Street and grab some Points to adjust the heights and the profile. 

 

I know i can do it for each part of the Street as a own family. But i want it like i am Modelling a floor directly in the Project.

 

Sorry for my bad English so far, hope someone can help me yet.

You can use railing profile to achieve what you want without using floor. Check this video for sample
