searched this everywhere and coudnt find anything about it, . I'm looking for a way to maintain a family within the default list in Revit, so I don't have to reload it each time I start a new project. If this isn't feasible, I'd appreciate knowing the most efficient alternative you recommend.

Create a template with all your family loaded into the project. Next time you create new project, all those families will be part of the project.

Accepted solution

First you start with blank template. Load in all the family you want into the blank template. Once you are satisfy with what you have loaded, then save it as template file (RTE).

Once you save the file, you can start a brand new project and use the template. It will have all your families, linetype, text, hatches, titleblock, filters and etc all load into this template.
