Dear Friends,

I have Differnt case to hide the Floor Boundary Line in Shop drawing,

In this case I am not able use Line Work (LW) Tool because i have to make lots of line to invisible mode,

If i hide the floor it self in Visibility Graphics Spot elevation for the related floor categity also hide,

So i need a another solution to hide the Floor boundary line,

If i use the white line for surface line, it make another problem. all the joining area (Floor to wall,) boundry line are not visible in print.

Please guys give me a solution i was struck this issue very long back

Hello

To hide the elements below the floor, just fix the view range..

transparency + white boundaries should work..

If this doesn't help then I hope someone will come up with a solution.

best luck

Just to understand you logic here, you want the spot elevation reports something invisible in the view? If the floor is physically and correctly in that location then why hide its edges?

Deaar ToanDN,

Actually i was working the block work layout, here i want to show the Finished floor level and i don't want to show the floor boundaries, please read the full story.

And here some room two types flooring is coming for the architecture purpose, so that i have create the two different boundaries for two different floor,

and then flooring pattern no need show in block work layout drawing, so that i have hide the flooring surface, then floor boundaries are visible like a attached image-01

IMAGE - 01IMAGE - 01

SO THAT i WANT TO HIDE THE FLOOR BOUNDARIES HERE,

If i make the floor boundaries in white color, Floor to wall connection area lines are hide, so that i want to make the floor boundaries to be hide.

THANKS & REGARDS

Seen other forums where people discuss a dynamo solution. A script that can select all the floor edges then use the line work tool to override them with invisible lines. Down side is you'd have to do that on every view or complicate the script further and let it allow the user to pick multiple views.

Hi

after a lot of ideas and thoughts i managed to reach a good enough workaround, you basically go to line patterns, create a new line, you can call it ''invisible'' and then add a dot and space.. in space you can add 10000mm.. this way you will have a line type that has only a point each 10 meters which is not noticeable.. you can raise the value also if needed.. after that you go to object styles and set this line pattern for floors and that is it.. the only down side here is that floor lines will be hidden everywhere in the project meaning that you need to switch often from this line pattern to the normal solid line whenever you are printing. Hope this will help

Make another roof over the old one a few millimeter, name that invisible floor(you can use another parameter like yes/no or only in plan or what you want) then hide that in all other views (2d and 3d) by the filter.

If it solves your problem, please click Accept to enhance the Forum.
