what do you mean? because if you just want to have a cut out of the shape, you can just use edit Profile for walls to have it around different Structural Element.

Other way is using voids.

hey i am looking to cut all columns and beams whcih are going  through my walls and there are many instances of the same moreover as they still in design stage they are going to keep changing with each stage and i was wondering if there is a way to do it automatically without copy monitoring the elements so i can avaoid duplication.

then I should just wait till you are done with the design stage! why doing the extra effort if it is still in design stage.

because at the moment you are now putting extra effort in the your model, when it can change any moment

thank you very much for your input I am very well aware that there will be redundant work and the main reason why I am asking this on the forum to see if there is possible way to do this without wasted effort.

Hello.

I have enconutered the same problem and there seems to be no workaround but copy/monitoring the structural elements into the coordination file.

Kind regards!

Here is a workaround using Dynamo.

It makes new walls with profiles which are cut by linked model and replace the original walls. All of wall hosted families can be automatically re-placed but you may have to change directions of them manually if necessary.

The easiest way is to create a void family and place it at the intersection points between the wall and the structure element. it don't need edit wall profile, don't need replace element in the wall, just put a family in it and you can remove it when you don't need. You can refer my script
