No, that is why i created the Multiple Selections post in the Ideas forum.

To speed things up and depending on the needs I would create a Dynamo script.

Also note that a schedule is scheduling elements in a project, so in most schedules you can not just add rows as this would be adding elements to the projects

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

I use this plugin: Export Import Excel. You can export the table to Excel, modify it in Excel then import it back to Revit.

If they are all the same family and type (which they appear to be), you could just select one in the model (or from the schedule), and then right click and choose "select all instances > in entire project" you could then fill out the "Comments" field and whatever you put there would be applied to everything selected.

Maybe not quite "cut and paste" but it would beat filling out each one individually.

As pointed out by @loboarch you can change the value in model. If you don't want to change all of them, you can also select in the table the desired ones (they have to be consecutive) and then click in a view to change the value.

It might also be useful to point out when you provide values for "comments" the schedule gives a pulldown menu to fill out the field with previous values, so it would be a bit faster than typing every field with whatever you are filling in.  you can just pick from a list of previously used values.

Hi

Create one more schedule to edit the data

SORT by Family, now you will have all the rows unique to family and changing

the data will update all the elements of that family in one go.. ( uncheck "show individual instance ")

this technique you can use for any schedule..

Trick is how you sort ..

Beside from grouping and entering them on the schedule, you can select all the rows on the schedule, click on Highlight in model button to go to a model view and enter the value from properties.

As expected, this is not possible with room tags. Once again, a process tha should be simple becomes a nightmare

What are you trying to change from the room tags? If it is a value from the rooms, you have to select the rooms and change the value using any of the options explain before. The tags will update automatically!

I have over 300 rooms, if i select room by room (first trying to find the cross and then ctrl+click) it takes an eternity. It is impossible to Right Click+Select all instances because Revit decided that should not be allowed. The only alternative is Excel.

That definitely helped

You don't need to find the cross. Instead of that if you mouseover the Room Tag and press Tab, will be possible to click the room.

Anyway, the best option for you is probably to do it over a schedule (like explained before) or insolate the category rooms. I don't get what your question is.
