Check this link for a Free CAd viewer from Autodesk: https://viewer.autodesk.com/

As far as I know, there is no way. There are many ways to legally create .dwg files without AutoDesk software.

Maybe, if you provide more details about your situation and what you are trying to accomplish, someone might be able to give you some insight.

Are you wondering if there is a watermark or something that identifies whether or not the content was created with a licensed version of the product?

...I hope not. he, he.

The thing is, .dwgs can be made legally from non-Autodesk products.

I get that. I just was trying to wrap my brain around the question. I've never heard/seen it asked before.  What would be the ramifications of using "Fake" content?  In fact, what is "Fake" CAD?

The topic states "Fake License", i.e. hacked, cracked, illegal, or whatever colloquialism is popular where you are at.

So it does, @RobDraw. I guess I cut off the blood circulation to my brain when I trying to wrap around the question. Ha!

I wonder if it's even possible anymore or if hackers are required to tag their work somehow.

Interesting question. We don't really own software anymore. We rent it. Soon we'll have to check into a cloud office (and go through security) just to access the software from our "dumb" terminals.

Edit the DWG in Word or Notepad....the first 6 digits is the version of Autocad that created the dwg.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-f...

If you keep scrolling down after that, eventually it will show if it was created with a licensed version of Autocad and the product name and build version.

That only verifies that it was created by an Autodesk licensed product. The lack of that information does not prove a "fake license".

See post #11 by @Anonymous. I think he answers your question satisfactorily? No?

P.S. I don't believe there is anything such as a "Fake License".   I don't even know what that means -- unless you're talking about what I used to purchase beer when I was 17 years old.

BTW...it was the same beer that adults purchased with non-fake licenses. No difference.  The point being: What difference does it make to you whether the product is the result of a "Real" License or a "Fake" License?

Just get high and be happy.
