How to change dimension line color ONLY

Hi, in Revit LT 2019, is there any possibility to change dimension line color only? When we edit the dimension type properties, both the text color and line color is changed, which is not my desired choice.

When I googled, I found this https://revitforum.org/showthread.php/199-Changing-the-color-of-dimension-lines?p=217548 which says that "one color for everything". Is this true?

Can someone suggest a good workaround?

Thank you in advance!!

Cheers!

Hi, @barthbradley,

Thank you for the reply. As I clearly said LINE COLOR OF THE DIMENSIONS.

The color can be any RGB value.

actually, what you clearly wrote was: "dimension line color only", not: "LINE COLOR OF THE DIMENSIONS".

Hi @barthbradley

Thank you @barthbradley . I just want to change the line color of the dimension.

Here is my scenario. I just need my dimension text to be black and the color of the lines to be in grey. I want the dimension line color to be distinct from my floor plan wall and other lines, to make the drawing more readable.

So, when I change the type properties "color" parameter to grey, both the dimension line and text color changes to grey, where dimension text sometimes becomes less readable especially in "Shaded" view. So, I thought of the possibility of changing the line color of dimension separately, while keeping the dimension text in black.

I checked on google and found no answer. So that's why I am seeking you all experts' suggestions.

FWIW: Think line weight - not line color.

It's not possible.

As you read in that forum, only one color for a dimension type. Changing it will affect the dimension line and text.

Hi, thank you @edwin.prakoso and @barthbradley

Noted! I marked both your's and @barthbradley's comments as solutions.

Hope that kind of flexibility will be available in Revit's future releases.

Stay safe!

Cheers!
