How to apply a filter with a checkbox?

I'm having trouble with creating a filter from which I can for example color a wall green.

I'm currently checking the walls regarding acoustic settings and I would like to be able to check a box for each wall when I have controlled it and that particular wall shall be colored green. 

I want the filter to be in the properties list like the one named "OPTIONAL" but I can't seem to solve it using the filters in VG. I can add a filter but when setting rules I would like my "CONTROLLED" option to be in the list, but I'm not able to do that.

in this case i use the text (name of parameter), you can choose Optional:

open filters in view , select New and give him the name and choose your Categories and in the end the Filter rules and your parameter.

and for use the filter  you should Add Filter in VG(Visibility/Graphic...) / Filters.

Thanks, but here I can't choose "optional" cause that is already in use. How do I get my own chosen field in the red column? Like you have with "diet in IFC" and "text". In this list I would like to add my own, like "wall controlled". How do I do that?
