Help!! Revit is not printing to scale

Anonymous

Hi

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ASAP, ITS FOR A JOB!!!!

I have just download Revit 2018 and its not printing to scale. I've read all the forums about changing settings, changing the printer settings, printing to PDF to then print and nothing is working.

The weird part is some of my elevations are as they are dimensioned and others aren't. It's got to the point where now i need an expert to actually have my file and see whats wrong because nothing is working and im not getting paid for my job until its done!!

Perhaps, out-source the printing?

Unforuntately that doesn't help me now, i'm not in a stage to out source the printing and it would defeat the purpose of them outsourcing to me!

...well then, finish the job in the version you developed it in. Screw upgrading versions in the middle of a project - especially at the 11th hour!

The nice thing about Revit is that it is WYSIWYG. In other words, the issue is likely attributed to your printer settings, or "a loose nut behind the keyboard".

Stephanie: I understand your frustration and angst. No need to lash out.

You are seeking help to understand why you can't print to scale. The issue is not related to Revit. That's all I'm pointing out. It's a user error. plain and simple.  Get it?

What are you printing to? PDF? Let's examine the settings....ok?

...unfortunately, "real-time" expert help has almost expired. You in or out, Stephanie?

Just do one thing at a time..

First thing first..

Decide the Sheet size.. am Assuming A1 Sheet. ( can be A1, A2, A3, A4 )

Place a " Floor Plan " on a " sheet "

ex Floor Plan 1:100 scale

Sheet A1..

if that plan doesn't fit on that sheet, then change the scale of the plan,

ex : Floor Plan 1:200 scale..

see on which scale its fitting on the A1 sheet..

and once you figure that out. make all the drawings of that scale..

ex: All plans, elevation, section 1:200 scale...

hope that helps..

Cheers..

So, Stephanie -- the lesson learned here is that this was not a PDF scaling issue after all! Sounds like the PDF was printing WYSIWYG all along. Hmm?...a "loose nut behind the keyboard" maybe?

Nice doing business with you.  Have a good day.
