@danezeq hello, they will not join. to overcome this Select stair->edit stair->select stair->extend below riser base (properties). Apply 0.
3D model join geomtery works only with similar components.. though there are exceptions.
Ex :
Wall to wall
Wall to floors
Walls to roof
floor to roof etc...never ending list..
and this will show correct only when materials are same..
in Case of stairs, its not gonna join with any other component..
your best bet would be to make view " Coarse " and follow @ennujozlagam advice and
put cut pattern for slab " solid grey " as well as for staircase materials.
when you are drawings details, at that point you can show more layers of slab, stairs etc..

but still, in many cases i just need the geometry that "touches" the stairs to be edited in acordience with diagonal line of the stairs.
i know there are annotation solutions, or in-places custom masses, but arent they any smarter solutions?

Your options are:
1. Trim other building components using any applicable means: voids; edit profile; create a floor or ceiling matching the bottom of the stair and join it with the walls below, then hide it, etc...
2. Draw the stair with just the steps, draw the bottom separately as a sloped floor or ceiling then join it with the walls below.
3. If your stairs are final, you can export it to a SAT file and import it back in as an in-place generic model and join with other building components. Keep the original stairs for plan presentation and future parametric modifications.
