groove in floor

hello 

what is the best way to create a groove on a floor with elevations like this one:

i need to create a groove from the 5000 point to 3000 point, the groove would look like this:

what happens when the floor doesnt join the wall??

I made it -7000 below and 7000 above and still not cutting!

the wall joins every other slab for some reason, i have attached the model in my previous reply.

 this is the slab that is not joining, i don't see why extending the wall would solve it..
but I have tried it and still nothing

I see your file now.

 

You can attach the wall base to the floors, click OK when you see the warning about Opening Cut.

And you will need to fix an elevation change between the two floors in order to create the void sweep.

you are a life saver, thank you! that actually helped me solve another separate problem.

 

back to the problem at hand (and so sorry to be dragging this for too long), following your solution i can pick the whole path without a problem, and pick the profile, but when i start cutting, i can cut every other slab, not all of them.

 

I tried creating a generic model (not a void) using the same method, it didnt work too

is there any fix? or a work around??
