You can have one = 1 and the other = 2 automatically.  But no text.

I have two shared parameters that I have made project Parameters

Theses are text parameters in identity data of generic Model elements I made

For example, When Work Profile = FOCUSED, I want Work Profile Symbol = (the symbol)

Create them as type parameters and assign the values for each family types.

Why can't you create different types and each has its own graphic and description?

Seems to me you could get there with Global Parameters.
