Barthbradley, to the best of my (rookie) understanding, offsets are set to zero, not view range. My view range has level 1 as bottom level, level 2 as top level, so comprises the whole floor height. When I change cut level offset to any value, than 3rd wall (that one which extend all the way up to level 2) show up.
Sorry @Anonymous: I'm not following your logic. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you are trying to do. Are you not wanting to display any walls in the view? What's the purpose of the view? Maybe, if you tell me that, I can advise you on how to get there. Maybe, VG overrides are the means to the end, instead of View Range.
...btw: did you check out the video I linked you to in my previous post? If not, I would encourage you to do so. It talks about what families can display above the cut plane of the view. Walls are not one of them. Now, if you were to draw your walls as an in-place Generic Model component, they would show up with those settings you have.
The following component family categories will appear in the view even when above the cut plane:
-Casework
-Generic Model
-Structural Columns
-Windows
