Just trying out revit for the first time but I cannot find where to load any libraries in the trial version to test, different doors/windows/plumbing fixtures ect ?

Are these included or do you need a full subscriptions to see how the work.

Show us a screenshot of your entire program window please, with OPTIONS command open in the middle in the PROFILES tab.
Don't know how to do the above? Read this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots

You need to download directly from Autodesk website:

https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Where-to-find-Revi...

Check version and then select correspondind content.

All families can be loaded from an online repository as you need them.

Go to the "Load Autodesk Families" button in the tool bar in your screen shot. We no longer install all the content by default. This Load Autodesk Families button allows you to load the individual items you might need. You can alternatively, goto the link others have provided and download and install a content pack

What you said @loboarch and @scott_d_davis it's right but only works since 2021.1 version. Because we don't know which release use @coastguy84 that is explained in the link I share previously.

You can insert them directly from the cloud.

thanks for the reply's, everyone, it appears that you cannon access libraries without a full subscription which seems odd as I'm only trying for the first time 2days in and don't want to outlay the expense just to test some simple features like skillion roof and laying out of floorplan with details ect  before deciding on a full subscription or not.

You don't need a subscription to download and install content.  But I pointed you to load them directly from the cloud because you are just trying the program, no need to download and install a huge amount of data at this point.
