Floor Deking beyond core outline

Hello,

I am trying to extend my floor finish beyond the floor assembly core layer.  This is for a deck, where my decking extend 1" beyond the framing.  Is there a way to do this?  Also, is there a way to add am edge piece along the perimeter?

Technically you could create an Air layer between th core then the finish deck layer, then create parts and exclude the air layer so you would have the deck and the core separated.

I usually model them as separate floors because my structural floors usually have some slopes and the architectural decks are level.

For the edge band, you can use slab edge tool.
