Flat top rail @ top step

HI,

The top rail is flat @ top of stair case (for top step), I would like the rail continue straight up not flatten out.

When I create a new stair case the problem persists. Please see attached.

But when I open a new project the rail is parallel to the stair case which is what I want.

Please see attached.

Edit Top rail type and set Top extension to the length you want.

Adding an extension doesn't change the flat section(at top) within the staircase.

The problem is the flat portion within the staircase instead of it continuing up parallel with bottom of staircase

Tick End with Riser for your Run.

When you place the railing, choose On Stringer instead of On Treads.
