HI,
The top rail is flat @ top of stair case (for top step), I would like the rail continue straight up not flatten out.
When I create a new stair case the problem persists. Please see attached.
But when I open a new project the rail is parallel to the stair case which is what I want.

Adding an extension doesn't change the flat section(at top) within the staircase.
The problem is the flat portion within the staircase instead of it continuing up parallel with bottom of staircase

Tick End with Riser for your Run.
When you place the railing, choose On Stringer instead of On Treads.

One click you select the Stair
You need to TAB and select the RUN then check End with riser
