Filtering Key Schedules

Hi all,

I am using key schedules to display generic information such as abbreviation lists, and I'm looking for a way to filter the schedule via an added yes/no parameter to allow project teams to filter out entries that aren't being used in specific project.

Is there a way to filter a Key Schedule? Or display only selected entries in a separate schedule?

Thanks.

No can't do. Altenately, you can use a noteblock or a keynote legend.

Almost sounds like you are describing filtering a Keynote Legend by Sheet...

Actually, you can filter after your scheduling.

I am looking for the same. Currently it's not an option but I hope one day it is or Revit finally realizes we need data not connected directly to the model.

Why Note blocks dont really work

This requires an annotation to be placed for each row to show up. Placing random families on a view just to show abbreviations seems messy.

Why Keynote Legends don't really work

Similarly to note blocks, keynotes require something be placed to for the note to show up.

We really need some good tools for abbreviations, notes, and plan notes. Keynotes and note blocks can at least work for plan notes right now, but for abbreviations and general notes, there's not really a good efficient method yet. The ability to have a data only schedule like a key schedule that can be filtered based on relevant data with an option to renumber rows would be amazing.

I have the same problem here, trying to filter key schedules, and it is frustrating. That said.."we need data not connected directly to the model" is against BIM as a concept. Revit is a BIM tool, as such, and by its own name, Building Information Modeling
