From Revit, try and open the each of the two large files.

This is the path from the journal folder

but when i go from revit there's no app data folder. i'm really so lost about to give up on this.

thanks for all the help.

Will I lose all the families I downloaded into my model or will those still be there?

No - not that folder.  After \local\ you need Autodesk - not chrome.

Try and copy it and save it in a place that you can access.

I recall having this issue I think, but not exactly what it was. Your work thusfar might be lost for the day actually, hope not ofcourse but I'm afraid it might be... I am trying to remember what the issue was back when I encountered that...

Maybe it was that I opened the project from startscreen (local file), instead of opening the central file (w. create new local) from a network location... ? Something like that...

Maybe its all lost Ive been spending all day and night trying to fix this, apparently can't even work from the old file at the same time .. have a deadline at 10am.

Do you remember if you fixed it or you just lost your work?
