Are you sure you are not in "Viewer Mode"?  Maybe you need just to activate the software?

Doesn’t that mean I’ll have to close my project and lose everything ? If that happens I’m going to have a panic attack.

your file is still there in your harddrive to make safe copy the file to another folder. you just going to do a clean uninstall and reinstall again the program and see if helps. no need to have a panic attack..if persist see a doctor. lol hanks

my suggestion in only a worse scenario if you cannot save your file, it's up to you to decide. thanks 😋

Thanks for responding. Still a little confused, I can’t uninstall the program unless I close the window and if I close the window all my work will not be saved right ? Revit doesn’t do back up files right ? When I go to the file in the folder is shows it was last saved yesterday before I started working...

I checked my license and it’s fine, I’m on student version, also not in viewer mode. At this point I feel like I might as well just leave the file open forever and hope it never crashes

:((((

You have no choice but to restart your computer and forget all the things you have done, it's all the same in end part you continue to draw, you cannot save also the file??? Just saying.. restart and open again your file and see if can save or do a clean uninstall and reinstall again your Revit program. It's your decision to make. Good luck. Thanks

Before reinstalling the software, try and open the journal file, which is a backup of the project.  Go to:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2020\Journals

and sort by date.  Open the latest file with a rvt extension.

Hi thanks , I get an error saying cannot find. I tried to get to it manually and I can't find the path either.

Could you find the relevant Journal folder?  Are there any files in there with a RVT extension?

Ok I searched my whole PC for "journal" and some showed up with timestamps from last night which is good. But they are in text files? How would I open?

Refer to post 16 which shows the path for the journal folder - are you in the correct one?
