Family Parameter Formula for determining number of arrayed studs

Hello there i am new to creating parametric families

I am trying to work out a formulae that can determine the number of studs i can fit in a length that can be varied, with 600mm spacing between the studs. Also with a constraint on the arrayed studs not being allowed to end on top of the independent last stud that is flipped.

I have tried the formula for number of studs being "length/spacing" but this does not give an integer so doesn't work for the actual number of studs that could fit into a length of say 1350mm, as shown in the picture

There might be a simple solution that i am missing, but maths is not a strong point of mine 🙂

Great for the integer problem thank you, but how would i determine the "calculated distance" to be no smaller than 70mm? to keep the last arrayed stud from overlapping

Not a real Revit problem, but more a math issue.

Solution is to test if the distance is less than 70 mm, if so then deduct one from the array Qty

Beside from using a family with formula, you could use curtain walls or railings with a rule to set the mullions or posts/balusters.

Looks like you are building a line-based array. If so, and you pull the line the full extents of the wall, with a fixed spacing, wouldn't Length/Spacing-1 work?

Actually skip the minus 1. I think what you're after is an additional Stud Placement w/ a Visibility Parameter  to turn it off should it overlap the fixed end Stud.    Like this:
