Extend the bottom constrain of railing to lower edge of stair/landing.

I have a railing family whose lower constrain should match the lower edge of landing and run as the red line in sketch. and then the top of the floor.

I tried with different rail family for landing and stair run but the joint is a problem.

Any idea how I should proceed?

You can use landing height adjustment. edit: doesn't do the trick, it will require some more tweeking to baluster bottom/top to rail and host then I thought...

I thought i could too, that offsets the top rail as well.

@barthbradley(How) did you keep the rail height at 1m on the landing? It's a lot easier not to do so (possibly way to go...) But if it should remain at 1m on the landing, perhaps you've found the setting I'm overlooking...

Make your rail from one continuous sketch line and use the settings shown in the screenshot I posted.  Bada Bing.

I had tried like that before.

my top of the rail is not 1m frm finish anymore. I am gonna go through the video Martijn sent and try get a hang of how to control top of the rail independently.

You could also model it in-place in railing category, if not otherwise.

So, tried to get you started on a panelling solution if not already. It's a bit more trickier then you want it to be tbh. Anyway, in the process I figured out you could sort of force such a panel using a nested generic family, setting it as start post which sort of forces it in position, which is a neat trick I suppose... 'panel' height in railing just needs some value other then 0 just to get that working with a nested family... But honestly it's easier to model in-place, or nest in-place in railing category (or possibly use curtain wall as railing)...

curtain wall was my last resort.
in-place is not feasible, its a mid-high rise with different floor heights and 3 staircase cores.

I will study the material I already found on AU and the nested generic family. Eventually I will post it here.
