Exporting elements to IFC as "fine" but not as "Coarse"

Hey.

could I somehow "force" export to IFC all elements as "fine" although they are defined in the family editor as "Coarse"?

Create a Fine view, VGO the category to Coarse, and open it when export to IFC with these settings.

You would have to edit the family.

@ToanDN I tried it before and it didn't work.

@RSomppi  for sure? did you try it before? is it possible to convert the Revit file itself but not a specific view?

I'm asking if you tried to do the same in the past and didn't find a solution.

and add one more question: is it possible to export the whole model but not a specific view?

look at this...really weird behavior...

one PS is from IFV Viewer and the other from Revit.

maybe because you are using a generic model?

one more thing: on the visibility graphic when Im choosing "coarse" it looks like this and when I'm choosing "fine" i can see only the symbol.

can you share the Revit model?

what setting did you choose for exporting to IFC?

Accepted solution

Nothing special about the Revit file and I deleted it already.  I created a new project from 2022 System Template, inserted you family and placed it on a pipe.
