which revit version you are using?

There is one flaw in revit, when some element which is within " 1200mm" range from the level, it shows

up..

thats one reason that element is showing up on both levels..

am sure if you move the element down, and keep more than 1200mm distance, it should hide..

give it a go and test and later we will see how to fix that...

Cheers

Am I right that the object is a plumbing fixture? Maybe there is a hidden line within the family which is cut by the second floor plan.

PS: Plumbing fixture is non-cuttable.

Hi

I would still insist to learn the default kind of " FLAW" in revit related to 1200mm

vertical distance range..

1. Change Wireframe to Hidden or shaded View.

2. You can hide element below only if theres something solid ( like floor for example ) exist..

Try this

1. As long as bottom offset is " Zero" , elements which are 1200mm below that levels are visible...

you may change the bottom offset just plus 50mm and that fixes the issue..

2. Experiment the following modelling and understand and then approach the actual problem

you are facing....

a. Draw two levels.. ( 1200mm apart )

b. Create floor on both levels.. ( dont align on plan, move the lower floor bit aside)

c. you will notice the lower floor slab is visible on upper level...

so the issue is not with the Revit family, and not with the View range, its inbuilt ...

Best luck

Hi
Whichever family it is (‘plumbing or any other )
Moment Revit plane cuts it( family ) , plan is going to show cut profile or graphics mentioned in the family in cut geometry..

Try to keep the family at zero offset from the level.. and if any element is heigher ( example shower fixture at 1.8m, shower mixer at 1.2m ) etc, fix it at correct height in the family..

so once loaded, actual family stays at zero level and other elements at their respective heights...
